Tanner Walton lives in Spring, Texas and is a student at Lone Star College, University Park. Growing up with a family who inspired him to become a working artist, he has been drawing since he was six.
In his own words he said: “My older sister got me into drawing because she’s an artist, too and it’s fun to draw from the mind. My mother discovered that I have Autism and it made me feel special, and my father taught me to keep being creative, keep on practicing, and never give up drawing. As a child, I enjoyed drawing comics while using existing characters from movies, games, and cartoon shows for my own creative purposes. Drawing and creating comics is my life’s true passion that was given to me from our Lord.”
“During my high school years at Klein Cain, I won 1st place in a bookmark contest and kept on drawing and being creative. Then on April 19th, 2024, I won 1st place as an Aspiring Artist at Texas and Beyond Art gallery in Montgomery Texas, and that’s where I met Thierry and Ilene, who helped me share my talent with everyone.”
“In the Fall Semester of 2023, I created a logo for my digital media class in college. I called it, BIG. T COMIX; and it hit me that it should be my business. So the logo became the official name and logo of my comic book business. Big. T Comix has three types of comics; Superhero Comics, Horror Comics, and Stand Alone Graphic Novels.”
“The name of the superhero comic franchise is called **BT Universe**. At Big. T Comix, the BT Universe tells different stories of each superheroes that me and my close friend created for the audience. Some of our heroes are created as a parody and amalgamation, but keeping it completely original. This franchise takes place around the Late 90’s and Early 2000’s because I want to bring our characters to life in an era that was a great time to be a fan of superheroes as well as bring back the memories of our childhood when life as fun.”
“Inspired by R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps, Tales from The Crypt comics, *TWISTED TALES OF TERROR** is my own horror comic anthology series that tells horrific stories with dozens of gruesome monsters and murderer who gets punished by the supernatural. This series is hosted by my own original character named; Mr. Frighton. I modeled him after R.L. Stine and The Cryptkeeper. The series pays a homage to Goosebumps, Tales From The Crypt, and the classic B-movie creature features and the stories will have a retro sci-fi horror poster design for each stories in the comics.”
