Tanner Walton

Tanner Walton lives in Spring, Texas and is a student at Lone Star
College, University Park. Growing up with a family who inspired him to
become a working artist, he has been drawing since he was six. In his
own words:

My sister got me into drawing because she’s an artist, too. My mother
discovered that I had autism and it made me feel special, and my father
taught me to keep being creative and never give up. As a child, I
enjoyed drawing comics using existing characters from movies and shows.
Drawing and creating comics is my life’s true passion.

In high school, I won 1st place in a bookmark contest. Then on April
19th, 2024, I won 1st place as an Aspiring Artist at Texas and Beyond
Art gallery in Montgomery Texas, and that’s where I met Thierry and
Ilene, who helped me share my talent with everyone.

In the winter of 2023, I created a logo for my digital media class in
college. I called it, BIG. T COMIX; and it became the official name and
logo of my future comic book business. I’ve created two of my own
series; **SPACE-LEAGUE** and **Tanner’s Terror Tales:**

* The SPACE-LEAGUE series follows seven high school teenagers that has
been chosen to become the greatest heroes in the galaxy and maybe the
whole universe. This series was inspired my the Fantastic Four, Power
Rangers, Ben 10, Spider-Man, and Green Lantern. But, the most important
inspiration was anthropomorphic animal characters.

* Inspired by R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps and the EC horror comics of Tales
from The Crypt, Tanner’s Terror Tales is my own horror comic anthology
series where I am the host of the series as Tanner Frighton. More than a
horror comic series, it’s also a homage to classic B-movie creature
features and the stories will have a retro horror poster design for the
covers.
